No rural service for MBBS graduates in Telangana
The MBBS batch of 2010 which passes out this year will not have rural service.
Hyderabad: The Telangana state government on Saturday did away with the mandatory one-year rural service for MBBS graduates. Rural service will now be restricted to PG students according to a government order issued in the evening.
The MBBS batch of 2010 which passes out this year will not have rural service. MBBS graduates had protested against the rural service, saying it was disrupting their studies for the PG examinations. Every year, 2,950 doctors used to head for rural service.
