Chennai: In the next two weeks when Assembly election campaign will peak, Chennai weather will give some respite to campaigners. Weather experts have forecast that the temperature in the city and entire state will be marginally close to normal, preventing heat wave.

“But this temperature is normal for the people residing in the interior parts. People are used to the heat wave. In Chennai the temperature from May 1 to May 15 would remain around 36 degree Celsius,” said a meteorological department official.
