Video graph general body meeting, HC tells Jubilee Hills House building society

Hyderabad: Justice C.V. Bhaskar Reddy of the Telangana High Court directed the managing committee of Jubilee Hills Co-operative House Building Society Ltd to videograph the proceedings of its general body meeting slated for Sunday.

The court also directed the commissioner for cooperation and registrar of cooperative societies to depute the district cooperative officer to oversee the meeting till its completion.

The expenses towards videographing shall be borne by the four members of the society, including Srikanth Babu, who had approached the court alleging that it was being conducting with ulterior motives.

Rohit Pogula, counsel for the petitioners, submitted that the society was functioning unconstitutionally and in violation of by-law No. 70. Pogula urged the court to direct the management committee of the society against passing any resolutions or approvals in respect of item No.7 of the agenda given in the notice for the general body meeting without following section 16 of the TCS Act, 1964.
