The corporation has decided to collect about Rs 600 crore in this month.
Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has collected Rs 1,346.69 crore pertaining to property tax till late Sunday night for the financial year 2018-19.
In 2017-18, the GHMC had collected Rs 1,326.83 crore, and for this year, the corporation has set a target of Rs 1,500 crore but could not achieve it as most the election staff have been deployed on poll duty since September last year.
Officials claimed that they would now rely on early bird rebate scheme in April, where five per cent discount will be offered to property owners.
