Chandrababu Naidu to set up separate bank for Backward Classes
Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced that a ‘separate bank’ would be set up especially for Backward Classes with Rs 10,000 crores and it would help BCs.
He also said that he would enhance the pension amount to Rs 3,000 from Rs 2,000 in future.
Addressing a public meeting at Tuni in East Godavari on Sunday, Mr Naidu said that the Telugu Desam was attracting investments to the state on a large scale and Kia Motors Car Unit in Anantapur District was also made possible only due to the efforts of TD and not Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as stated by YSR Chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He said that Mr Jagan Mohan should be “ashamed to make such statements, praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi”.
Mr Modi had betrayed the interests of Andhra Pradesh, Mr Naidu said and asked, “will such a person make efforts to bring Kia motors to AP?”. He said that in fact, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and other states also competed with AP to get the KIA Motors Unit. “Due to our efforts, the company decided to set up the car unit in Anantapur District. We owe nothing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for KIA Motors. Mr Jagan Mohan is uttering lies,” Mr Naidu alleged.
He said that `15 lakh crore investments had been attracted to the state during the past five years. He added that MoUs had been signed with several companies from India and abroad. “East Godavari District stands second in attracting investments,” he said. Referring to the Railway Zone, he Naidu said that the BJP had sanctioned a headless Railway Zone.
