Kochi: The Mardau police on Saturday arrested three including a woman with suspected connections to a Goa-based international drug cartel. Chinchu Mathew, 24, of Thalassery, Greeshma, 23, of Palluruthy here and Muhammad Bilal, 32, of Kasargod were held on charges of drug peddling. During a raid on their rented house at Thykoodam, the cops seized MDMA and LSD stamps, Ecstacy pills, hashish and ganja. Bilal and Greeshma were living in the house used mainly for distribution of drugs, police said.

The clients were mainly from the entertainment industry besides a few upcoming entrepreneurs in Kochi and surrounding areas. The couple allegedly used to procure drugs in bulk from Goa and brought the same to Kochi on domestic flights. Apart from supplying drugs the gang also used to arrange party rooms. A probe is on to trace their clients.

According to cops, the gang used to have an utterly soundproof party room with disco lights and DJ music, leaving no suspicion to neighbours. They offer customers party packages at various prices. A two-day package would cost Rs 25,000 per head. Chinchu Mathew was held for possession of ganja nearly one and a half years ago.
