Thiruvananthapuram: The CBSE Thiruvananthapuram regional office has issued norms for organising district and state-level conferences of Sahodaya school complexes. CBSE regional officer Tarun Kumar, in a circular issued to all private CBSE schools in the state, said that principals of schools and presidents of Sahodaya complexes should seek the permission for conducting conferences.

Such events should be organised by Sahodaya School Complexes themselves and coordinated by one active Sahodaya. The organising Sahodaya will be nominated on rotation basis by the regional officer, Thiruvananthapuram, depending on the performance or financial uprightness of the Sahodaya complex. Sahodaya will not collect any sponsorship to meet the expenses from private book publishers or other company sponsors.

The Sahodaya should not make any statement criticising any current or recent policy or action of the Centre or MHRD or CBSE, or officers of the board. Not programme or activity harming social harmony and prejudicial to the interest of state should be conducted. CBSE- affiliated schools who are not members of Sahodaya will not be invited to the event. No participation fee will be collected from a school which is affiliated within one year of the date of event to the CBSE and is not member of any Sahodaya.

The events will be preferably held in the school premises, auditorium or budget conference facilities. Only the CBSE will have the rights to share the information with the media regarding these events. No information regarding any activity conducted by the CBSE should be shared by the school, Sahodaya, with the media at their level.
