Bengaluru: The State Government on Thursday filed their counter-affidavit with regard to the recommendations made in the Anwar Manippady’s report on Wakf properties. The government filed the affidavit following a civil contempt petition filed by former minister S.K. Kantha, who has contended that the state government has not placed the report of the Minority Commission on Wakf properties before the session.
The petitioner has contended that the commission has made a special report on misuse of Wakf properties in Karnataka in Bidar and other districts of Karnataka before the state legislature.
