A party worker from Tamil Nadu questioned the PM on the NDA's prospects in the south.

Hyderabad: Interacting with one crore BJP booth-level workers across the country through video chat on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was confident the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would win a considerable number of Lok Sabha seats from Telangana state.

He told party workers that the BJP would perform better in the state because the welfare schemes and initiatives taken by the party in various sectors, including finance, had created confidence among the people of Telangana state.

A party worker from Tamil Nadu questioned the PM on the NDA’s prospects in the south. Mr Modi replied that he was confident that the NDA alliance with the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu would see the party posting a good performance there.

Mr G. Kishan Reddy, a senior leader of the BJP in Telangana state, who participated in the video conference, said that the PM had to cut short his programme in view of the tension on the boarder and hence, all party workers did not get a chance to interact with him.
