ACB seeks more time to quiz K Purushotham Reddy

ACB is looking for more benami properties based on the credible leads received.

Hyderabad: Tainted official K. Purushotham Reddy, accused in a disproportionate case and booked by the ACB did not cooperate with the sleuths during a week-long grilling on his benamidars and ill-gotten assets. This forced ACB to seek his custody for another week, beginning Friday.

ACB officials told Deccan Chronicle, “The officer was interrogated for a week. However, Purushotham Reddy has not revealed beyond what the ACB has unearthed. ACB is looking for more benami properties based on the credible leads received. Also, we have to confront Purushotham Reddy and his brother-in-law-cum-benamidar Srinivas Reddy. This is likely to be scheduled for next week.”

Later, the ACB would hand over the case details to the Income-Tax department to further probe into tax evasion.
