Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palanisami on Tuesday met Union law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and demanded that the Union Government ratify the Tamil Nadu Government legislation exempting students from the state from appearing for Neet.
Mr Palanisami told Mr Prasad that the Union Government should extend all possible assistance to ratify the state government legislation. The President of India should give his assent to the legislation since it seeks to make a state-specific amendment to a central legislation.
