BMTC to consider Bus Bhagya demands
The BMTC has made a budget proposal for 3,000 buses to the State Government.
Bengaluru: BMTC MD Ekroop Caur has said she had met the volunteers of Citizens for Bengaluru and Bengaluru Bus Prayanikars Vedike and said some of their demands can be fulfilled, while others were ‘not realistic’. She said the BMTC will pass on their demands to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
The BMTC has made a budget proposal for 3,000 buses to the State Government, a demand also made by the CfB and BBPV, under the Bus Bhagya Beku campaign, she added.
CfB member Srinivas Alavvilli has said that the next Bus Bhagya Campaign will be held at Shantinagar bus stand on Saturday at 11am. “This is incidentally the monthly Bus Day. We call upon citizens to show support for public transport, increase buses and reduce fares," he added.
