Andhra Pradesh accident: Survivors say it was nightmare
Vijayawada: It was a nightmare for the survivors of Mullapadu bus accident on Tuesday. Most of them were asleep when the accident occurred.
They said they woke due to the impact and were shocked to the bus stuck in the narrow gap between two bridges.
“It was dark outside. We have tried to break the glass and come out. But we couldn’t as the bus was in an inclined position and at a height,” said V. Sivarama Krishna who is travelling from Srikakulam.
“I was in back seat and fell unconscious for a while after accident. Later when I came to my senses, I saw many passengers shouting for help. I saw two bodies next to me,” said Krishnavardhan, a medical sales executive travelling to Hyderabad.
Four techies survived the Mullapadu bus accident at Krishna District on Tuesday. K Bhargavi from Vizianagaram is going to Hyderabad to attend an interview at Tech Mahindra on Wednesday. She was asleep at the time of the accident.
B. Dinesh, 24, from Visakhapatnam was on his way to Hyderabad to pursue a software course. “Am lucky i survived. I feel sad for others,” he said. The other two techies B. Vasudeva rao and D. Ganesh also escaped with minor injuries.
Two police constables working in intelligence security also suffered injuries in the accident at Mullapadu.
