Tamil Nadu government appoints 18 law officers
Chennai: The state government has appointed 18 advocates as law officers to represent the government in the Madras high court.
Advocate G. Sugumaran has been appointed as Additional Advocate General of TN. He completed his law degree from Madras law college and enrolled as an advocate on January 28, 1975. He was the Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) from 1994 to 1996 and 2001 to 2006.
According to the separate orders issued by the government to this effect, advocates Rita Chandrasekaran, S. Diwakar and R. Govindasamy have been appointed as special government pleaders while advocates S. Gunasekaran, J. Balagopal and P.V. Selvakumar have been appointed as Additional government pleaders.
Advocates K.J. Sivakumar, K. Thangapandi, T. Girija, K Bhuvaneswari, A Zakir Hussain, G. Saibaba, A. Mohamed Mushtak, K. Balamurugan, V S Ramesh, S. Krithika and K.R. Ramesh have been appointed as government advocates (civil and criminal side).
