No extensions for LRS and BRS
Hyderabad: The last day of February was also the last day for receiving applications for many government schemes and plans. Some schemes were extended based on the directions of courts and requests made by several groups.
Municipal minister K.T. Rama Rao has announced that no more extensions would be given for LRS and BRS. He said during a review that 1.6 lakh applications were received across the state.
“We will complete the process within a year. The previous governments did not clear applications received in 2008. The verification will be accurate and transparent,” he said.
GHMC officials said that the corporation received Rs 55.04 crore from 68,722 LRS and Rs 101.97 crore from 1.31 lakh BRS applications.
About 25,000 applications were received for the house regularisation scheme under GO-59, the extended deadline ended on Monday. Of these, 258 out of 5,552 applications from Hyderabad and 728 in 11,855 Ranga Reddy have been approved.
The government extended the last date to March 15 for Christians to apply for loans. MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi had sought an extension of the date for Muslims. The government would take a decision on the matter on Tuesday.
The Trai deadline for installation of Digital Access System for cable TV ended on Monday. Cable TV Operators' Association leader M. Subash Reddy said the High Court had extended the date by a month.
