Hate speech: Case against BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde
According to sources, Mr Hegde had made a statement at Sirsi that reportedly hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community.
Karwar: A case has been registered against Uttar Kannada BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde at Sirsi Market police station for his statement which allegedly hurt religious sentiments.
According to sources, Mr Hegde had made a statement at Sirsi that reportedly hurt the sentiments of the Muslim community. Following this, a case was filed at Sirsi Market Road Police station on Monday under IPC Section 295A (Deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.)
