Chennai: Labeling the Union Budget presented by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley as a prescription to improve the health and economy of every household in the country, BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan said the Budget not only meets all sections of people but also ensures the benefits reach the targeted groups.
“The cooking on chulha a day amounts to smoking 400 cigarettes per day. Five crore of such people will benefit through the scheme for free LPG connections. It will not only be beneficial for their health but also save the environment,” she said commending the PM Narendra Modi and Arun Jaitley for announcing numerous people-friendly initiatives.
"The Budget also focused the poor, farmers, women and youth and it is a roadmap to improve the overall economy, health and livelihood prospects of the people," Dr. Tamilisai said.
