HYDERABAD: In addition to the over 1,000 personnel deployed on bandobast for the Budget session of the Telangana Assembly starting on Friday, February 3, drones will also be deployed. City police had made plans to deploy three tier security at the assembly and the surrounding areas. Further prohibitory orders would also be imposed during the session.
According to city police officials, 402 personnel from SP to constable ranks drawn from different districts are being deployed. Further 18 platoons of TSSP having 21 each men and two platoons having 21 women each from the Armed Reserve wing, are also deployed. Taskforce sleuths, intelligence and personnel from other agencies are also roped in.
Roof watch is also set up at all high rise structures surrounding the assembly and drones are being deployed at strategic locations. This is to identify any crowds gathering in the surrounding areas and ensure that no untoward incidents take place, police said.
The additional measures are being put in, in view of the protest calls given by various organisations and also the protests that happened during the last assembly session.
