Thiruvananthapuram: Action likely against Ex-DCP Teresa John

The CPM leaders alleged that the search list and memo submitted by Chaithra in the court had certain discrepancies.

Thiruvananthapuram: Former DCP SP Chaithra Teresa John, who raided the CPM district office last week, is likely to be shifted out of the present post of Women Cell SP.

The move comes in the wake of the pressure from the CPM district leadership to initiate disciplinary action against her. There are also plans to keep her without posting as part of punishment.

Though a section of police officers is trying get the action scaled down to a warning, the chief minister appears to have taken the position that action is warranted.

The CPM leaders alleged that the search list and memo submitted by Chaithra in the court had certain discrepancies. Instead of including the names of actual witnesses, policemen were listed as witnesses. The party is planning to move the court on this issue.

It may be recalled that DGP Lokanath Behera and ADGP south zone Manoj Abraham, who looked into the incident, had submitted reports to the government without recommending any action against the DCP
