PM Modi to address 3 rallies from February 10 in Karnataka

The party has also assigned jobs to booth workers under the Mera booth subse mazboot programme.

Bengaluru: The BJP is fast getting into election gear for the coming Lok Sabha poll with Prime Minister Narendra Modi due to visit Karnataka on February 10, 19 and 27 to address rallies and meet party workers and office bearers in preparation for it.

State BJP president B.S.Yeddyurappa said here on Thursday that Mr Modi would address those in charge of the elections, conveners and party workers of three or four Lok Sabha constituencies at Hubballi on February 10 and the venues of the other two rallies would be finalised soon.

He also revealed that BJP national president, Amit Shah, would visit the state on February 14 and 21 to address party workers and office bearers. Mr. Yeddyurappa, who was himself addressing those in charge of the elections in the party, its conveners, district presidents and organising secretaries here, said the BJP was confident of winning over 22 Lok Sabha seats from Karnataka despite the Congress and JD(S) forging an alliance for the poll.

The party has , meanwhile, started the process of finalising its candidates for the constituencies except those that are already represented by BJP MPs. "Once the party national president arrives the party will assign election related work to the probable candidates," Mr Yeddyurappa added.

The party has also assigned jobs to booth workers under the “Mera booth subse mazboot” programme. The BJP's women workers will light a lamp in each BJP voter’s house under the Kamala Jyothi programme and a Kamala Sankalpa rally will be organised on March 2.
