Cleaning drive at Bengaluru City Railway Station

Bengaluru: Eco-Watch and South Western Railways carried out a clean-up drive and eco-awareness campaign in and around the Bengaluru City Railway Station (SBC) on Wednesday.

The campaign tried to create awareness among passengers on waste / garbage disposal, cleanliness and hygiene.

Eco-Watch Director Akshay Heblikar said, “The drive was to have a meaningful clean-up drive and an eco-awareness campaign. Railway station platforms, premises and its surroundings were cleaned up.

Surveys using questionnaires were carried out to understand the awareness levels of the people and passengers about waste segregation and disposal."

Resource material was distributed to the people to create awareness on waste management, disposal and health and hygiene-related issues.
