Hyderabad: About 700 stipendiary women constables passed out of the Raja Bahadur Venkata Ram Reddy Telangana State Police Academy on Wednesday.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, who was the chief guest for the function, said that the police should upgrade itself according to the changing scenario.
The state government is providing all necessary infrastructure to the police to maintain law and security in the state.
“The government is providing 33 per cent job reservation to women to ensure the their social stability and give them opportunities in challenging jobs,” he said.
He said that the She Teams concept introduced by the state police is drawing a lot of appreciation countrywide.
