Hyderabad: YSRC termed Sunday’s violence by Kapu agitators as unfortunate and asked protestors to maintain restraint. The party blamed AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for his failure to act on the Kapu reservation issue that led to the situation.

YSRC spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said, “Kapu leaders in YSRC have supported the movement taken up by Mudragada Padma-nabham. We will continue to support the demand of Kapus to be added in the BC list.”
