K Babu return gets PCC nod
Kochi: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president V. M. Sudheeran has stated that there was nothing improper in K. Babu taking back his resignation from the state Cabinet.
Speaking to reporters in Kochi on Sunday after resuming his Jana Raksha Yatra in the district, Mr. Sudheeran said that the verdict of the lower court order has become redundant after the High Court verdict.
“I have spoken to the Chief Minister about Mr. Babu coming back to the ministry. My opinion in this matter has been conveyed to the CM,” he said.
A section of the congress leadership was upset with Mr. Sudheeran for allegedly insisting on the resignation of Mr. Babu immediately after the Thrissur vigilance court order for filing FIR against Mr. Babu.
Later addressing a series of meetings as part of the Yatra, Mr. Sudheeran attacked the CPM for practising the politics of violence.
The assault unleashed by SFI activists against T. P. Sreenivasan is an unpardonable crime, Mr Sudheeran said.
“The issue cannot be resolved by taking action against the SFI leader alone,” he added.
The first reaction of Pinarayi Vijayan after the incident is a clear indication of the real attitude of the CPM, he said.
