New Delhi: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel have restored a bag containing Rs. 50,000 to a woman who forgot it at a Delhi Metro station.
The incident happened on January 29 when a CISF official noticed an unclaimed bag lying at the X-ray scanning machine at the Tilak Nagar metro station.
The security team of the force subsequently segregated the bag for a detailed scanning and it was found that the bag contained Rs. 50,000 and an ATM card, a senior official said.
A Dwarka resident, identified as Hemant Kumari, later came back to claim the bag from Metro authorities, who returned it to her after due verification.
"Kumari said she forgot to collect the bag after she put it on x-ray scanner. The bag was restored to her after she provided bonafide details about the contents of the bag," the official said.
In an another incident on January 28, a lady Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) constable Noorjahan Khatun helped an old couple from Uttar Pradesh's Itawah re-unite with their grand daughter who got separated from them at the Chandni chowk station.
"On seeing the couple crying and disturbed at the Chawri Bazar station, Khatun inquired and got to know they got separated from their 15-year-old grand daughter at the Chandni chowk station and travelled a station ahead.
"The lady constable alerted the CCTV control room and the girl was located at New Delhi station. The girl was re-united with her grand parents," a senior official said.
