Malladi Describes 2023 as Year of Development

Vijayawada: AP State Planning Board vice chairman and MLA Malladi Vishnu declared that the year 2023 will remain in history as the year of development in Vijayawada Central Constituency.

He was speaking after inaugurating Rs 2.60 crore-worth development works in the central constituency on Sunday along with deputy mayor Avuthu Srisailaja Reddy, YSR Congress corporators Isarapu Devi, Samman Rama Devi and Modugula Thirupathamma.

The planning board chairman said he is very happy that the past four and a half years under the leadership of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy witnessed considerable development activities, mainly in construction of roads.

Giving details, he said a road costing Rs 99.65 lakh has been laid in New Rajarajeswaripeta. He announced that starting Sunday, new roads are being constructed in Nandamurinagar spending Rs 70 lakh, in Electricity Colony costing Rs 34.07 lakh and in Visalandhra Colony at an expenditure of Rs 19.97 lakh

Malladi Vishnu said they organised a ground-breaking ceremony for construction of BT roads at a cost of Rs 36.45 lakh and improvement of drinking water pipeline system at Thotavari Street at a cost of Rs 17 lakh.

He underlined that special attention has been paid to areas, which have not seen development for many years due to the neglect of the previous government. He maintained that there is no exaggeration in describing 2023 as the year of welfare and development.
