Vasodi Mona to leave hospital, cause of fall unclear
Hyderabad: While 15 year Vasodi Mona, a student of Raghava concept school in Kukatpally is scheduled to be discharged from hospital, police are yet to ascertain the cause of her fall. Mona fell from the terrace of the multi storey school building under suspicious conditions. Doctors say that she is out of danger now though she is in a semi-conscious state and not able to talk. A case was initially registered against the school management.
Mona, studying Class X, fell from the top of the terrace of the school building under suspicious conditions on December 21 evening. Her pair of shoes on the building roof raised suspicion. She was rushed to a nearby private hospital with multiple injuries on head, face and other parts of the body and was later shifted to Rainbow Children Hospital. Doctors said that she was brought with a deep axonal injury on the head and other injuries. She recovered after treatment for ten days and is out of danger now.
“During the first phase, life saving treatment was given to her while in the next level she needed to go through elective treatment procedures for speedy recovery. But on her parent’s request, we are transferring her to another hospital for further treatment.” Dr K Prashanth, Medical Director, Rainbow Group of Hospitals, said. Mona’s father Shiva Kumar said that she is looking at them but not responding to them or recognising them. She needs more care and better treatment. “The school management is supporting us and they were with us since the time of the incident, but we request the Government to rescue us from this troubled situation.” he said.
Investigating officials said they are yet to identify the reason behind the fall as the girl is not in a condition to talk and is still in hospital. “We are examining the school staff and other students to know how she fell. Her class is on third floor, but she fell from the terrace above,” ACP Kukatpally N Bhujanga Rao said.
