DC impact: KeSCPCR seeks police report in child sale case

The KeSCPCR asked the DySP, District Crime Records Bureau, to submit a report on the case that happened at Pattanakad in 2013.

Alappuzha: The Kerala State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (KeSCPCR) has initiated steps to speed up the investigation into the child selling case that was reported by this paper on Friday.

The KeSCPCR asked the DySP, District Crime Records Bureau, to submit a report on the case that happened at Pattanakad in 2013.

The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 has envisaged seven-year jail for selling or buying children.
