Hyderabad: Cheating student throws a tantrum

The entire episode was disturbing for those who come prepared and want to sincerely give exam: Fellow student present from the class.

Hyderabad: The Arts College in Osmania University witnessed some ugly scenes on Saturday after a student was caught cheating in the ongoing semester-end examinations. As per those present in the exam hall, a student Babu Lal of the Journalism department was caught cheating during the exam. However, what followed was unexpected.

The student, when confronted by the invigilator, got angry and tore away his answersheets. He was told to go out of the hall. As he walked out, in a fit of anger, he broke a clay pot used for storing drinking water.

One of the students in the exam hall said, “The entire episode was disturbing for those who came prepared to write the exam.” When contacted, Arts College principal Prof Ashok Naidu said he was not in college at that moment, and so was not aware of what has happened.

Arts College of OU, home to many student leaders, is infamous for unruly behaviour. There are more than 60 student organisations in OU, half of which have their "offices" in hostels on university campus, meant for Arts College students.
