Twisha Sharma Death Case: CBI Seeks Five-Day Remand For Giribala Singh
CBI asks for five-day custody extension for Twisha's husband- Samarth Singh.

Bhopal: A local court here on Friday granted a five-day custody of former judge Giribala Singh and her son Samarth, accused in the alleged dowry death of model and actor Twisha Sharma, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The retired district judge Giribala Singh, who is Twisha’s mom-in-law, was produced before Justice Shobhana Bhalawe’s court here on Friday, a day after she was arrested by the CBI, seeking her custody for interrogation.
Samarth Singh, who is Twisha’s husband, was produced in the same court by the CBI after his seven-day custody expired on Friday.
The CBI sought his further remand for his interrogation.
The court of Justice Bhalawale sent both mother and son to the CBI custody till June two, sources said.
Sources said that the CBI has adopted ‘tunnel view’ investigation technique to digitally recreate the final moments of Twisha at her marital home here, leading to her death on May 12.
The technique helps the investigators synchronize CCTV, phone records, Wi-Fi logs, internet activity, smart-device data, forensic mapping, and witness accounts into a single, focused timeline that digitally reconstructs the final moments of the incident.
“The objective of deploying the technique is to trace the deceased’s movements, determine who entered or exited the specific areas of the house at what time, and establish the timelines of events before her death”, a senior police officer said.
The ‘tunnel view’ technique will also establish any attempts to tamper with evidence after the incident.
Twisha, a 33-year-old model and actor, married Samarth, a practicing advocate, in December 2025.
She died in a mysterious circumstance barely six months into her marital life on May 12, hours after she had a scalp massage at a parlor and an evening walk with her husband, here.
Twisha’s parents accused her mom-in-law as well as her husband of subjecting her to mental persecution and physical abuse for dowry, leading to her death.
They even accused her in-laws of murdering her.
They even alleged serious lapses in the police investigation in the case and refused to accept her body demanding a second autopsy.
A forensic team from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, later conducted a second autopsy on Twisha’s body in the AIIMS, Bhopal, following a directive by the Madhya Pradesh high court.
The second autopsy report is still awaited.
The first postmortem report suggested that Twisha’s death was caused by hanging and pointed out six injury marks in her body.
