Hyderabad: A pastor on Wednesday was booked for attacking a woman shepherd and injuring her sheep and pet dog in Gurram Guda under Meerpet police station limits.
The accused, after quarrelling with the woman grazing her sheep in Gurramguda village Meerpet, attacked her goats and pet dog, Meerpet police said. The incident that occurred on May 24 came to light on Wednesday.
Mekala Padma, 43, was grazing her sheep near her house in Gurram when pastor Deva Sahayam restricted her to pass the road that went past his house.
Padma was trying to pacify Sahayam when the latter attacked her and pushed her to the ground injuring her sheep and pet dog, police said.
The pastor used vulgar language against Padma and trespassed into her house in Gurram Guda. He assaulted her with a broom and attacked her sheep and pet dog with the same broom before fleeing the scene after Padma shouted for help.
Based on a complaint lodged by Padma and verifying the CCTV footage, we booked him for trespassing, criminal intimidation, outraging modesty and causing hurt.
