Pahalgam Terror Attack: Odisha Tourist Killed While Vacationing With Family
A resident of Ishani village in Balasore district, Prashant was reportedly enjoying the scenic beauty of the region when he was struck by a bullet during the sudden assault by militants.

An Odisha tourist, Prashant Satpathy, was tragically killed in a militant attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on Tuesday. The incident occurred while Prashant was on vacation with his wife, Priyadarshini Satpathy, and their eight-year-old son.
The confirmation of his death came through a helpline set up by the Jammu and Kashmir Police, and was later officially verified by Anantnag Police authorities.

Speaking to a local television channel, Priyadarshini voiced her anguish and uncertainty, stating she had no information about her husband's condition or the medical facility where he might have been taken.
“I don’t know where he has been taken or how he is doing,” she said, clearly distraught.
According to media reports, more than 20 people, including two foreign nationals, are feared dead after militants opened fire on tourists visiting the popular Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam.
