ED Conducts Raids in Sagardighi Over Rs 8 Cr Cyber Fraud Case

Berhampore: A six member strong team of the enforcement directorate (ED) conducted raids at the Kabilpur village residence of one Sohel Rana, in the Sagardighi police station area in Murshidabad on Monday morning.

Prior to the raids, central paramilitary forces had secured the neighbourhood. ED sources said that the accused Sohel Rana was allegedly involved in a 2025 cyber fraud case from Punjab, worth Rupees 8 crores.

However, the accused Sohel Rana is absconding for over four months and the ED officials interrogated other relatives for multiple hours.

The ED conducted raids simultaneously in various addresses in Malda and Kolkata, related to the same case, ED sources said.
