Hyderabad: A young woman was being stalked by a stranger near the KBR park for over a year. Following a complaint from her parents, Jubilee Hills police registered a case against the stalker and started a hunt to nab him.
The stalker was harassing her physically and on social media platforms. He intercepted the jogger two days back when she went to the park. She escaped from there and informed her family, who immediately lodged a complaint.
According to police, the stranger, identified as Praveen Chandra, started stalking her when she used to go out for jogging at a park in Begumpet. Unable to bear the harassment, she started going to the KBR Park. He contacted her through social media and found out about her residence.
In March when he tried to start a conversation with her, she did not reply. He started coming to the park regularly and waited outside her house. Even when she was abroad for a few months, he used to message or email her.
