Hyderabad: A 31-year-old housewife from Pahadishareef approached the police against her husband, stating that he had cheated her. Ghousia Begum said that her husband, Said Zahran Hamed, an Omani national, promised to buy her a house in the city, but did not honour it.
Ms Ghousia in her complaint stated that she was married to Said Zahran Hamed Al Rajhi in August 2008, at a house in Salala-Barkas. At the time of marriage, he promised to buy her a house worth '10 lakh in the city.
After marriage he used to visit Hyderabad every year and used to send money for her expense. “There were many instances of Arabs marrying Hyderabadi minor girls and staying at their home also. My parents kept asking about the promised house but he kept procastinating,” stated Ghousiya in the complaint. The Balapur police said that the complaint is being verified.
