Hyderabad: With the New Year celebrations round the corner, many drug peddlers are actively planning to trap youths for selling narcotics. The city police has advised the youngsters to stay away from such peddlers and alert them whenever they see any suspect.
On a tip off from the commissioner’s office, the East zone task force with assistance from Sultan Bazaar police on Friday arrested a Nigerian, Chikezie Orji (Michael), at Koti bus stand who was carrying 125 grams of cocaine, 10 grams of heroine, net cash of Rs 90,000, two cell phones and a Yamaha bike.
The accused was trying to sell the drugs to individuals after purchasing it from Emeka, an African national. He bought heroine at Rs 1500 per gram and sold it for Rs 5000 while one gram of cocaine was sold at Rs 2000 and sold at Rs 6000, said the police.
