Hyderabad: Gas supervisor robbed of Rs 6.7 lakh

Hyderabad: In a robbery at Rajendranagar, supervisor of a domestic gas godown was attacked by four unidentified persons, who also looted about Rs 6.7 lakh from the victim on Wednesday night. The police are verifying the footage of the CCTV cameras for clues and the injured man was admitted to a private hospital.

At 11 pm, G. Ramu, 28, in-charge of Indane Gas Godown at Budwel in Rajendranagar, was heading towards his home in Santoshnagar on a bike, four identified persons on two bikes intercepted him at New Green City Colony and attacked him, before taking the cash bag containing Rs 6.7 lakh, the day's collection.

Ramu on Wednesday had to stay till late as he was waiting for two vehicles to come back to the godown.

Rajendranagar inspector G. Suresh said that when Ramu reached New Green City Colony area, two persons intercepted him. Within a few moments, two others on a separate bike came from the backside and assaulted him.
