Hyderabad: In a tragic incident, a 26-year-old metro employee was crushed to death by a speeding truck when she was travelling with her husband on a bike in the wee hours of Thursday in Begumpet.
The Begumpet police have identified the victim as R. Deepa.
According to her brother G. Ranjith, she was travelling with her husband R. Sampath on a bike.
Both were employees of Hyderabad Metro and were on their way to work. At about 5.30 am, a speeding truck hit them from the rear resulting in them falling down.
The couple fell in different directions and the woman came under the wheels of the truck.
The truck driver fled from the scene and the police have registered a case under Section 337 and 304 (A) of IPC and further investigation is underway.
