Telangana: Two students held in drug bust sweep
Warangal: The continuing investigation into the drug bust cases in Hyderabad has been leading to new revelations every day.
As past of the latest development, Task Force personnel from the Excise and Prohibition department raided a hostel room in Warangal at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) campus and arrested two former students who were in possession of LSD (Lysergic acid Diethylamide). This is the first drug bust in Warangal city.
According to R. Suresh Rathore, Deputy Commissioner of the department, a team from Hyderabad, acting on a tip off, arrested two students, Y. Ramesh and G. Dijji from the 1K Hostel on IT campus. The two were students of B. Tech 2000 batch but were staying on campus to clear their backlogs.
The task force personnel recovered five blots of LSD from them. They also seized a laptop computer and a mobile phone from them.
Mr Rathod said each blot gives a euphoric feeling for ten hours to those on it, adding that the accused revealed five other names during interrogation. The department is investigating them and another arrest would take place soon. More of the drug is expected to be seized.
The students have been using a dark website to order drugs from other cities and were receiving them at residence in Dilsukhnagar in Hyderabad.
