Guntur boys traced in Kolkata

Guntur: The Nallapadu police traced two boys missing from the city in Kolkata and handed them over to their parents in Guntur on Wednesday.

Addressing a press meet in Guntur on Wednesday, Guntur Urban SP Ch. Vijaya Rao said two boys, V. Vijay Kumar and Biswajit, both aged 13 years, residing at Dasarivaripalem and Chowdavaram in Guntur, went out from their houses on Aug. 25, Vinayaka Chaviti to see Vinayaka idols in the nearby pandal.

However, the duo did not return and their parents lodged a complaint with Nallapadu police on August 26 after failing to trace them in Guntur.

The special team with the help of IT core found the boys were taking shelter in the house of Goutam, a friend of Biswajit.

Goutam was living in Jaggu Bazaar at Bhavanipur in Kolkata.

The special team, with the help of Goutam’s father, went to Kolkata and took Biswajit and Vijay Kumar into their custody on August 28.

The special police team brought the boys to Guntur on Wednesday and handed them to their parents.
