Andhra Pradesh: Police busts gang of bike lifters

Acting on a tip-off, the police teams caught the gang at Rajampet Road in Kadapa on Wednesday.

Anantapur: In a major breakthrough, Kadapa police nabbed a five-member gang of youths, including students, in connection with vehicle theft and seized motorcycles worth Rs 10.2 lakh at Rajampet road in Kadapa on Wednesday.

Gaddam Vishnu, 20 of Venkateswara Peta in Proddatur town, a second year BPT student from Muktiyar college Kadapa, Challa Sudharshan, 21, of Ravindra Nagar of Kadapa, a medical representative, Jalla Sivakumar, 28, of Bhavaninagar in Kadapa, a contract worker in Survey of India at Bhuvanagiri in Telangana, Changala Sreenivas alias Sree, 21, an E-card courier boy from Ravindranath Nagar in Kadapa and Posa Madhusudhan alias Madhu, 23, a car driver from Ravindranagar in Kadapa were members of the gang.

Kadapa SP Babuji told the media that the Kadapa CCS and local teams kept vigil after a series of vehicle thefts were reported from various parts of the district over the past few days. Acting on a tip-off, the police teams caught the gang at Rajampet Road in Kadapa on Wednesday.
