Hyderabad: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly sexually exploited by her maternal uncle who threatened to to upload their pictures on social media and defame her.
The accused has been identified as M. Ravi Kumar, 31. According to the police, the victim was a relative of Kumar, and they were in a relationship for six years.
A Punjagutta police officer said Kumar went abroad for higher studies. He recently returned to India and began doubting that victim and started using filthy language with her on the phone.
Punjagutta inspector B. Mohan Kumar said, “On Wednesday. he went to the victim’s room while she was alone and forcefully abused her and took a picture of the victim.”
The inspector said: “The next day he took the victim to a movie and then to a hotel and sexually abused her. He threatened her with dire consequences if she revealsed about the the abuse to anyone”.
On Friday the victim lodged the complaint with the Panjagutta police, who registered a case and further investigation is underway.
