Bengaluru: 8 held for planning attack on rival gang

According to police, they were waiting in a car in Peenya to attack rival gang with lethal weapons.

Bengaluru: The CCB police have arrested eight people who were planning to attack their rival gang with lethal weapons on Thursday night in Rajagopalnagar police station limits.

The accused have been identified as Narasimha Yadav, Prasanna, Kumar, Manjunath, Arun, Santosh, Ajay and Vinod. All the accused are aged between 20 and 25 and are residents of Peenya.

According to the police, on Thursday night, the accused were preparing to attack their rival gang with lethal weapons and waiting in a car near Hegganahalli in Peenya second stage.

Based on credible information, the CCB police reached the spot, arrested all the accused and foiled their plan. The police have seized the car along with chili powder, four canes and long machetes from the accused.

The Rajagopalnagar police have registered a case and produced them before the court.
