Hyderabad: Relatives ransacked Lotus Hospital after the death of a 16-year-old boy who had been admitted with brain fever. The relatives alleged that Suresh had died but was kept on a ventilator to inflate the bill and damaged medical equipment and ransacked the hospital.
Dr V.S.V. Prasad, senior paediatrician at the hospital said the patient’s relatives were not willing to listen to doctors. He said that Suresh was removed from the ventilator by relatives, and he died on the way. He said the hospital had registered with the Saifabad police. The police confirmed that a complaint had been received and they were looking into it.
