Chopped body of pregnant woman found in Kondapur

On Tuesday morning at around 9.30 am, GHMC workers were on duty at Sriramnagar near Botanical Garden.

Hyderabad: The chopped body of a pregnant woman, stuffed in two gunny bags, was found abandoned on the main road near Botanical Garden in Kondapur on Tuesday morning. GHMC sanitary workers noticed the bag and alerted the police after seeing blood oozing from the bags. The police suspected that the woman is aged around 30 years and hails from North India. The limbs and head were stuffed in one bag, while the torso was packed in the second bag. The deceased was found wearing a maroon top and a red pyjama.

On Tuesday morning at around 9.30 am, GHMC workers were on duty at Sriramnagar near Botanical Garden. They noticed two gunny bags. After noticing blood oozing from the bags, they alerted the police. Inspector M. Gangadhar said that the body is decomposed and seems to be three days old. “The murder could have occurred at a different place and the body was dumped at the spot,” said M. Gangadhar, Gachibowli inspector.

Forensic experts said that the woman is in the eighth month of her pregnancy. A murder case is registered and special teams are formed to trace the suspects.
