Hyderabad: An autorickshaw driver was arrested for sexually assaulting a student who travelled to school in his autorickshaw everyday on Saturday.
According to the police, Nayeem, 35, used to pick up and drop the minor girl at Global Techno School and bring her back home everyday.
“He was hired by the girl’s parents and has been on duty for two months. On Saturday, as he was bringing her back from school, he went to a secluded place and sexually assaulted her before dropping her. The girl shared the traumatic experience with her parents, who then lodged a complaint, with the Nampally police following which he was picked up and booked under Sections of the PoCSO Act and the IPC,” said the police. Nayeem was arrested and sent to judicial remand on Saturday.
