Warangal: Lecturer facing ISI threat' killed in accident
Hyderabad: A lecturer working for a private college in the city, who had recently claimed on Facebook that there was a threat to his life from certain groups “including Pakistan’s ISI” was killed in an accident in Warangal late on Wednesday.
Kasha Praveen Kumar, 28, was working as a lecturer at MS Junior College, at Malakpet. He had not turned up for work on Wednesday and on Thursday morning, the college’s management received news of his death in Warangal. Kumar’s posts on Facebook were later discovered by a colleague. One of the posts simply read, ‘ISIS training centre in Hyderabad.’
In a series of posts, Kumar wrote: “Now, I will face a threat from ISI agents. Last year they tried to kill me. Police can u give me protection. If it is possible save the country I love INDIA. ISIS training centre in Hyderabad. I face threat from MS Junior College management. If anything happened to me that’s because of MS Education Academy. Save the INDIA (sic).?
His last post thanked ‘family and friends’. According to officials, he was killed in an accident after getting hit by a truck at MGM X road in Warangal.
Warangal police said a case has been registered and added that an inquiry was now on to determine if it was indeed a road accident or suicide. City police meanwhile said there is no evidence to support Kumar’s allegations.
