Hyderabad: A car driven by a drunk engineering student went out of control in LB Nagar injuring three persons and damaging three bikes. The suspect, Katari Suryaprakash Reddy, was arrested and produced in court. Police said that three bikers who were passing by stopped to see a cabbie who lost control and had his vehicle overturned at Omkarnagar. Meanwhile, police patrol mobile II of LB Nagar also arrived at the spot. “As the road was slightly curved at the spot, a speeding car driven by a drunken Suryaprakash went out of control and rammed into the three parked bikes,” SI K. Nagaraju of LB Nagar said.
Sunil and Jitender Reddy who were on a Pulsar and Bhaskar Reddy, who was on a Royal Enfield, were injured. The police personnel escaped without injuries. The injured persons were rushed to hospital where they are out of danger, but the three bikes were damaged completely, as the car was moving at high speed.
The cops nabbed Suryaprakash and found that he was drunk. The car is registered in his mother K. Vanitha’s name. Suryaprakash was going to his home in Saroornagar. Cops registered a case for inflicting injuries and drunk driving and arrested Suryaprakash.
