Hyderabad: Teacher claims man cheated, concealed his first marriage
Hyderabad: A 44-year-old Hyderabad-based lecturer working in the Maldives has approached the SHRC alleging that an advocate, Chatla Ganesh, had married her by concealing his first marriage, and had married again.
Ms Manimala said she came into contact with Ganesh in 2001, and married after a three-year relationship. The couple has a seven-year-old son. She said that Ganesh had told her that he was previously married to a government employee but had divorced her. After her marriage, she worked in Ethiopia and the Maldives, where she was staying with her son.
She said she came to know in 2010 that Ganesh had not divorced his first wife, but was staying away from her. She alleged that he married another woman with whom he was staying together in Chaitanya-puri. She lodged a petition with the women’s police station also and a complaint is registered.
On Sunday she went to the house in Chaitan-yapuri and caught him red handed with his third wife, with whom he had a son. “The child’s certificates has Ganesh’s name as the father and they are staying together for many years.” she said.
