Hyderabad: Seven persons were arrested by the Rachakonda police from Pahadishareef for consuming ganja on Saturday. They were booked for violating the NDPS Act.
The suspects are Md Sattar 22, a person who repairs mattresses, Abdul Rahman, 25, Karama Wahlan, 26, Mahsen Wahlan, 29, and Sayeed Saleh, 20, all autorickshaw drivers, Md Nawaz 20, a painter and Yousuf Hussain, 20, a daily wage labourer.
Police said the suspects were consuming ganja since months. They were procuring ganja from Dhoolpet. “We are trying to find the agent who was supplying ganja to this group,” police said.
